Client: National Center for Victims of Crime, District of Columbia
Working with the National Center of Victims of Crime (NCVC) in Washington, D.C., SEDC developed an interactive training and exercise on response options in an active shooter situation. The Department of Homeland Security has prioritized three options as the most appropriate response in this situation: RUN, HIDE, or FIGHT. For NCVC staff and administration, SEDC provided a customized training based on best practices and knowledge gained from the development of various approaches. Staff were required to practice the strategies in their office environment, learning how to implement each of the three options.
